DP / CM-PDP
Profibus Communication
Profibus DP interface fulfils fieldbus standard DIN 19245. This Profibus version, which
is optimized in order to provide excellent performance in terms of speed and low
connection costs, has been adapted for communication between automation systems
and decentralized peripheral devices.
Following “variable speed drive” profiles defined by Profidrive for electrical drive
technology are supported by CMP-DP: PPO1, PPO2, PPO3, PPO4.
CM-PDP interface supports different transmission rates in compliance with EN 50170
standard.Thetransmissionrateautomaticallyadjuststothesettingsoftheeldbus
master.
CM-PDP module is equipped with a DIP switch to activate end-of-line terminating
resistor, included into CM-PDP.

terminating burden resistor incorporated in
the module

Cable length limits the transmission
bandwith. Above table shows the match
between admissible cable lengths and

characteristics.
